Meet Muendi, a hard-working young student who lives in a rural village in Kenya. With her new pair of shoes, Muendi can complete her chores, walk to school, and dream for the future without fear of injury or soil-transmitted disease.

THE STORY
The Shoe That Grows is an innovative solution to the problem of soil-transmitted disease. The shoe, which can expand up to five sizes and lasts for years, is helping kids stay healthy and safe all over the world.
We visited Muendi’s village in rural Kenya to see how a new pair of The Shoe That Grows is helping give her a brighter future. She showed us around her home, feeding chickens, tendering the family cow, and gathering firewood. It was a joy to capture her story and we hope she does go on to become a pilot!
