Jacky's Story
Meet Jacky Ngeleka, a Congolese refugee living in Boise. She’s an aspiring fashion designer and a chef in the making. This film follows her journey as a new American through Create Common Good’s culinary training program.

THE STORY
Create Common Good provides a place of safety and empowerment for those seeking a fresh start in life. Their foodservice skills training program and job placement services support individuals with barriers to employment as they work to gain new skills and achieve self-sufficiency.
We spent a few months following Jacky as she worked her way through the culinary training program at Create Common Good. It was an honor to be able to see to see her story unfold from her first week through graduation, then into her new job.
Jacky’s Story was featured as the centerpiece for CCG’s year-end email campaign and at their annual fundraising “un-gala”.
